Qualifications:
As the Controller at Royal Family KIDS, you will oversee day-to-day accounting operations and be responsible for timely and accurate financial reporting data entry. You have the opportunity to aid our growing organization, ensuring solid systems are in place to support effective and efficient financial operations. Success in this role will come from excellent communication skills, a deep understanding of accounting practices in the non-profit sector, and the ability to implement effective systems and procedures.
Responsibilities
• Full Charge Bookkeeping - Manage, coordinate and review all accounting, including financial reporting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll
• Ensure the highest standards of integrity in financial reports, including compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
• Prepare Bank reconciliation
• Oversee Cash Flow with Cash Flow forecasting
• Manage merchant service accounts in conjunction with credit card transactions
• Oversee merchandise sales and inventory
• File Quarterly Sales & Use Tax reports
• Maintain depreciation schedules
• General Journal maintenance
• Oversee and maintain internal controls
• Oversee Accounting Department staff
• Work with outside auditors in preparation of annual audit and 990
• Interact with Development Department to ensure proper accounting treatment of temporarily restricted gifts
• Assist with grant requests and grant tracking and reporting
• Provide financial statements and other information and analytics to the CEO and Board of Directors in an accurate and timely manner
• Assist with the development of the annual budget
• Prepare miscellaneous regulatory and other agency reports, including ECFA, Charity Navigator, United Federal Campaign
• Full accounting, reporting and related services regarding For the Children Foundation (supporting organization)
