XI. LIST STRENGTHS OF SIG:
We continue to have outstanding leadership. We have gained a few new leaders that have taken charge and developed new programs, including Face Book and ideas for research and information. Our existing leadership continues to develop and give input and ideas to improve our SIG. We have delivered newsletters with timely information that can be utilized as a resource for our members. Our VC, Face Book and Twitter have a large following and we continue to aquire new information through these sites and have utilized them to pass along timely information to our members. We have received recognition for the hard work that has been accomplished and we continue to have a strong member following.
XII. LIST CHALLENGES/WEAKNESSES OF SIG:
(State how you are addressing these.)
As the SIG grows, we would like to reach out to more members and to make them more active with leadership roles such as involvement in social media and the newsletter. By utilizing the social media more, we are developing a following to draw more members to that site as well as others.
Our VC was crowded and difficult to navigate, due to the volume of informatio. We are changing the site with pictures and links to eliminate wordiness on the front page. We are awaiting the organizational VC update in order to streamline the VC appearance and create the pages that we need in order to have an attractive and easy to use site.
Leadership is always challenging. Many members of the leadership team have been in their position for an extended time. They have kept the SIG going and have excellent ideas, but we recognize that growing and changing leadership before they are burned out is difficult. We hope to encourage involvement with listing the responsibilities of each position (specific to the Breast Care SIG) on the VC. Members can see what is expected and the time commitment involved. All announcements and newsletters encourage involvement as well.
