CALL FOR ENTRIES

TENAFLY NATURE CENTER is calling for submissions to the Third Annual Juried Art Show. Artists (adult, high school, middle school, elementary school) will be chosen in each of several categories and their work will be exhibited at the TENAFLY PUBLIC LIBRARY for the month of August, 2013. The categories are:

1. PAINTING 2. DRAWING

3. SCULPTURE 4. PHOTOGRAPHY

ELIGIBILITY— This is an open competition. Anyone is eligible to enter. Work may depict or be inspired by a scene or element observed within Tenafly Nature Center. Other subject material will be considered, but should be within the category of nature-inspired work.

ENTRIES—Submissions will be accepted from May 12 to July 12, 2013. Only original artwork is accepted, and must be hand delivered to the Tenafly Nature Center, Redfield building at 313 Hudson Avenue, Tenafly NJ 07670. Entrants may submit up to three original works for an entry fee of $10. NOTE: There is NO FEE For the K-12 Categories. Each entry must be accompanied by a copy of the Entry Form affixed to the back of the work. All work must be signed. Work must be securely framed and prepared for hanging (wire is recommended.)

JUDGING—All entries received will be reviewed by a jury of professional artists. Judges’ decisions will be final.

EXHIBITION AND PUBLICATION OF WORK—Signing the entry form will constitute permission to exhibit the work, and to reproduce it in any media. TNC will endeavor to provide proper credit for all work in all publications. Due to limited space at the library, TNC cannot guarantee all works will be on exhibit.

RECOGNITION—In addition to the exhibition, winning work will be issued an award certificate, and featured on the TNC web site: www.tenaflynaturecenter.org.

TERMS—Submission of entry in this competition automatically constitutes the entrant’s acceptance of all competition rules. Entrants will be notified by July 19, 2013. Non-chosen work may be picked up between July 19 and July 31, 2013.

ADULTS: YOU MAY SUBMIT up to 3 PIECES OF ARTWORK FOR $10 FEE.

THERE IS NO FEE FOR K-12 SUBMISSIONS
