WWII Interview:

Due: 10/15

Find someone who remembers WWII. They need not have been in battle or even in the military. You may want to contact one of the local retirement homes.(Glenwood Gardens or Rosewood are always helpful) You may ask them anything regarding their experience of wartime. What was work, school, friendship, fun, etc. like during the early 1940s? Was there rationing? Does he or she remember posters from the time? Did he or she have friends or relatives who fought in the war? Anything!

Remember, you must record the interview subject’s exact responses to your questions.

For example, the following is bad:

I asked Jim what Army food was like.

Jim said army food was bad.

For example, the following is good:

What was army food like?

“Oh boy, those k-rations, well, as you crazy kids say,

they sucked!”
