Reflection/Assignment:
I really like Twitter. I'm new to Twitter. I can see why it is catchy social network. It is a great way to stay in contact with friends or about topics I'm interested in receiving tweet updates about. I love being able to follow my friends, family, and staying informed about upcoming events, activities, and class projects and assignments. Unlike e-mail, Twitter allows me to receive quick information instantly. I will start using Twitter more often now, that I’ve signed up.
I haven’t used Twitter before so, I really didn’t know how it worked. The tutorials were very helpful in setting up an account. I learned that Twitter is a useful technological tool. I enjoyed following: @CI350class, @mscofino, @coolcatteacher, @rmbyrne, and @lizbdavis on Twitter. I learned some useful things from each. I decided to follow @usedgov and @marshallu, @educationweek, @wvde_osr, @WVeducation, and @DiscoveryEd as well as a few friends and classmates from Marshall University.
What I like most about Twitter is that I save on my texts on my phone and can get quick tweets about information, topics, assignments, and reminders. Facebook doesn’t offer this type of instant information. If I send an e-mail, message, or post on someone’s wall, I have to wait for them reply. Sometimes I need information quickly about an upcoming assignment or where I can find information about a certain topic I’m researching.
In the classroom, Twitter can be used to informed students and parents about upcoming assignments, tests, projects, or activities. It can be also be used as reminders. Students can stayed informed about the world around them by following current events and correspond with other students globally. Twitter is a great way to inform people in a mass post.

@CI350class
These tweets very interesting and I spent a lot of time following them today. I especially enjoyed the tweet about the 7 Tips for Using Social Media in the Classroom.
@mscofino
I really didn’t see much posted today when I checked earlier today.
@coolcatteacher
I followed her tweets today and they were interesting. Although, I wasn’t able to read all of the tweets, the book club information she posted was interesting, but I couldn’t find the list of books.
@rmbyrne
I actually read a few of his tweets today. Although, I wasn’t able to read all of the tweets, the one about the different uses for Android was very interesting. I’m interested in reading more about the iStoryBooks and the Get the Math Multi-media Algebra Challenges tweeted today.
@lizbdavis
I followed her tweets today and they were interesting. I wasn’t able to read all of the tweets.
