RSG Conferences Checklist

· 2016 memo to principals and secretaries
· School Summary Form
· RSG – Information for Teachers (Schools should print a copy for each teacher.)
· RSG Staff Brochure (Print Shop will print for each teacher.)
· RSG Family Brochure (Print Shop will print enough copies for August Enrollment Days)
· Ready-Set-Go Culturally Relevant Practices (Schools should print a copy for each teacher.)
· Steps to a Successful Bilingual Parent-Teacher Conference (School should print a copy for each teacher.)
· RSG Teacher Summary and Compensation Sheet (2-page form, back-to-back. Schools should print a copy for each teacher who plans on being compensated through RSG guidelines.
· MPTT Teacher Summary and Compensation Sheet (2-page form, back-to-back. Schools should print a copy for each teacher who plans on being compensated through MPTT guidelines.
Dates to Remember:
· August 17 – New Student Enrollment Day
· August 18 or 19 – Enrollment Days
· August 22, 23, 24 are none working days. Teachers will be compensated for RSG conferences on these days.
· August 31- is a voluntary work day for teachers. Teachers can also be compensated for RSG conferences on these days.
· August 25, 26, 29 & 30 are work days for teachers. Teachers can only be compensated before or after their scheduled workday.
· August 22 at 2:00 – Deadline to review all add/dropped enrollments and provide student counts (Google doc to be provided in the August 19 Secretaries’ Bulletin.)
· Principal to determine when classroom teachers can begin calling/reaching out to families who have not signed up for an RSG. (This is to provide the option of making last minute changes to class lists if needed.)
· October 3 - Last day for RSG Conferences
· October 7 - Teachers to document RSG conferences on Teacher Summary Sheet and to submit to the principal or secretary.
· October 28 – Principal or secretary to submit the original Teacher Summary Sheets and School Summary Form to Chief of School Operations Office.
Your Schools To Do List:
· Review RSG documents.
· Coordinate RSG translation meetings with multiple students/teachers and BRS/BRTs.
· Think about ways of how your school will reach to reach out to the families to sign up for Ready Set Go Conferences. Here are some suggestions to consider.
