CAB V9 - EXPORTING TO ARCHIVE OLD MAIL

Note: If you have many messages to export, you’ll need to do them in “chunks.” Don’t try to export everything at one time.

1. Highlight the messages you want to archive.

2. Go under the “File” menu and select “Export.”

3. The “Open” window will open and default to the “firstclass” folder. Select the location of where you want the messages stored (documents, desktop etc.)

4. Click on the “New Folder” button to create a new folder to store your exported messages.

5. Click the “Open” button.

6. Each email message will be inside a folder. Each email message will be saved in three file formats: rtf, txt, xml. If the message contained an attachment, it will be saved inside the folder as well.

7. Verify the exported messages are inside your saved folder before you delete them from CAB.
