Description Kansas Statewide Homeless Coalition; Balance of State, Continuum of Care, consultant/contract employee
Responsibilities Grant writer to complete Exhibit 1 for the HUD CoC grant application; work in partnership with Kansas Balance of State (BoS) partners about mandatory dates for data collection as required, work with KHRC and BoS partners to support/facilitate Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) in the BoS CoC; Pursue funding opportunities to sustain the coordinator position.
Qualification Knowledge of principles and procedures related to homelessness, requirements and regulations governing the HUD CoC grant process, proven record of successful grant writing experience (HUD CoC grant preferred).
Graduation from accredited four-year university; major course work in business, public administration, social work, or closely related field (master’s degree preferred).
Hours F/t contract employee/consultant through Dec 2011, may be extended if funding secured.
