Toner Cartridge Recycling
Please recycle all those cartridges – don’t put them in the trash!
· Sharp copiers and printers:
o Sharp cartridges must be collected into a specially-provided box from Sharp/Close The Loop USA:
§ Request via email a set of three boxes: Include your name, Baltimore City Public Schools, school name, school address.
o The box comes with instructions, as follows:
§ Assemble the box and line it with the plastic bag provided.
§ Put approximately 10 used toner cartridges into the bag and box and close it.
§ A pre-paid, self-addressed label will already be on the box.
§ Call FedEx 800-Go-FedEx or 800-463-3339 for pick-up at your front office.
§ Alert front office staff of the box and the scheduled pick-up.
· HP printers:
o Each toner cartridge comes alone in a box that includes a pre-paid, self-addressed label in it.
o Place the used cartridge in the box of the new cartridge and affix the shipping label.
o Call UPS for ground pick up 800-PICK-UPS or 800-742-5877.
o If you do not have the pre-paid, self-addressed label, follow these steps:
− go to: https://h30248.www3.hp.com/recycle/supplies/choose-return-materials-hpe.asp?__cc=us&__la=en (or google “hp toner return label”)
− To answer “What type of HP Original supplies are you returning?” select “Laser Jet cartridges & drums”
− Select the number of cartridges that you have
− Select if you have your own box (it is recommended that you use your own boxes)
− Select “Order”
− On the next screen, complete your shipping information (this if for the return label only). Select “No” to the question “May HP contact you”
− Select “Submit”
− Review the information on the next page
− Select “Submit”
− Print out shipping label, affix to box, and mail via UPS Ground (see above for directions).
