Dear Parents,
I hope you have all had a wonderful week! At the beginning of this week, students participated in a Zentangle presentation. My friend, Mrs. Dion, came in and showed students 4 basic tangles to get them started on their Zentangle journey. Ask them to show these tangles to you if they have not done so already. I have loved seeing all their artwork that they have created at home since participating in this on Monday. We also started our chapter on 3-digit addition and subtraction. Students have done a wonderful job with this skill so far.
Looking ahead to next week, the students will have some things to look forward to. First, we will be having a 1:30 dismissal on Wednesday. Please make sure you have arrangements made for your child. Then on Thursday, we will be visiting the Scholastic Book Fair. Just a reminder, that this is the Buy One Get One Free sale. Thank you to all that had their child bring in change during the change wars. Our class raised $77 to be used towards new books for our classroom library during the Scholastic Book Fair. This will especially go far since it is Buy One Get One. To end the week, students will have the opportunity to attend the Glow in the Dark Party. All students are invited to attend, but will need an adult present. Food will be available to purchase starting at 6, with the Glow in the Dark Party then starting at 6:30. The party will go from 6:30-8:00. During the party, the Scholastic Book Fair will be open. Also, PTO is doing a LuLaRoe fundraiser. This event will run from 3 PM on Friday to 7:30 PM.
