Comments

PlanetAbroad is supposed to be enhanced with a sophisticated commenting system for each destination.

Backend:

http://drupal.org/project/nodecomment

The search should only go through the comments in the corresponding language and filtered (if set) by the dropdown options. Furthermore, if the checkbox is set we have to also look at the comments for all places below the current place in the place hierarchy.

We are using a multithreaded commenting system with the replies automatically being connected to the language/category of the original comment.

The general comment categories are:

- General

- Insider

- Tour

- Bargain

- or the user can also enter a custom text (which then should be displayed in the drop box as well)

Categories for “I am a”:

- adolescent

- student

- professional

- senior

- special niche group

Frontend:

This is what the tab for the community section could look like. Potentially, it could make sense to create a seperate search dialog with the different search/filter options.

The standard view is just the top level comment for each comment “tree” and then through a show all link expand this thread dynamically (no reload of the page --> AJAX?)

Comments can go down 3 levels max. and each comment can be recommented on.

Search results can simply be listed like the general displaying format as well. If the search result for a keyword is in a reply comment then show the whole thread. The search keywords should be marked in orange in the results (font color: #F18021).
