Welcome to the Pioneer Fire Protection District Board Meeting. The Chairman of the Board of Directors will invite your comments regarding any item listed on our open session agenda. The Chairman may request that comments be limited to three (3) minutes for any item NOT listed on the agenda. The Brown Act prohibits the Fire Board from taking any action not listed on the agenda.

December Report and Executive Summary

6.2 Refund of Development Fees

Chateau Routon on Omo Ranch Road is no longer building and has requested a refund of development fees. Permit #176865 $16,928.10. Development fees paid Sept 2007.

6.3 Formation of Fire Services Committee

Directory Howe and Director Wood will be the Fire Services Committee

6.4 Resignation of Board Member

Russ Sime has resigned effective 1/24/15. Notice of Vacancy was posted at Mt. Aukum, Somerset and Grizzly Flats post offices and Station 38 on January 29, 2015. Board has 60 days to appoint a new board member from the date of resignation. Notice must be posted for 15 days prior to an appointment.

7.0 STANDING REPORTS

7.1 Fire Chief’s Report

· Get a plaque for Russ Sime for his service on the board

· Get a plaque for Nick Nickerson for his service as Chair of the Crab Banquets from 2007-2015. Jack will present at the Thank You Dinner on March 7. 2015.

· Need to determine Citizen of the Year and Firefighter of the Year for 2014. Nominating committee will be formed at the next board meeting in March.

· Jack will meet w/ Grant to determine if creating a hand crew in Pioneer is feasible. Support4ed by Prop 40 funds and can be rented out across the country. An also be used for fuel reduction. Other sources of support Carbon Credit funding, and Drought Degeneration Funding

7.2 Report from Firefighter’s Local #4586

None

7.3 Report from PVFA

· PVFA had a meeting on 2/9 no totals from the crab banquets yet. A lump sum check will be presented to Jack at the Thank You Dinner on 3/7/2015.

· Three Forks Times is no longer being published. The Turnout will be published 4 times per year the next issue will be published in April.

7.4 Report from Fire Safe Council

None

7.5 Collaborative Council of Fire Departments (CCFD)

· This item will be removed from 7.0 Standing Reports and moved to 6.0 New Business.

· Director Howe will send a paragraph to Director Cooper-Wyble of where we stand w/ consolidation for an article in the April Turnout.

· Veerkamp assured Jack the 2nd half of the patch $ is not an issue.
