Treasurer report: Terri Lachman: All of the $18,000 from the women’s ball grant has been given away to cancer patients. We will not have any more grants to give away until we raise more money, which will not be until after the ball.
Membership: October is renewal month. Please up date your membership. Pick up the form and give to Lauris or mail it in. $20.00 fee.
Nominating Chair: We are taking nominations for a secretary and treasurer. We will be hiring a CPA to help us with our accounts and finances. The treasurer position will provide information to the CPA. Nomination forms are available and can be mailed to Terry Canfield.
Virtual Community: Visit Pinellas.ons.wego.net. We will keep you updated on our chapter. Minutes of our meeting will be available soon. We will update you on the Ball, meeting times, job postings and event planning. Visit us often and share with your co-workers.
United We stand Together we Can: January 14th at the St. Petersburg Yacht Club. We are looking for sponsorship and gift certificates for our guests. Our goal this year is to raise $30,000 above our expenses to give back as grants. Letters were handed out to distribute to businesses, people you know, or restaurants for donations or gift certificates. More are available. Contact Debi McCreary for details. Just address the envelope and let them know what a good cause.
We will are hoping to have press coverage with Channel 10. There will be a cut-a-thon at a Gabora a local hair salon in Clearwater on October 15th. Wendy Migliore has been busy providing money from our pharmaceutical companies. If we start now we should raise our goals.
Christmas Party: Our party this year will be at the Radisson Suites in St. Petersburg near Feather Sound. It will be Friday December 2nd at 6:00. We will start the party with a vendor fair. This will allow you to meet with all of our pharmaceutical representatives and it will provide extra funding to help send more nurses to congress. Bring a wrapped gift around $20.00 and we will share our gifts. We will keep you updated on virtual Community.
Scrapbook: Stephanie Alawee has agreed to help us with our scrapbook. So far, we have pictures from the past ball. If you have ideas or pictures etc let her know. Thank you Stephanie.
