Associate Dean of Students & Director of Student and Organization Development, July 2015-present

· Promotion reflects duties absorbed over the course of my tenure at Cornell, including advising the Greek Judicial Board, supervising two assistant deans who advise the Multicultural Greek Letter Council and the Panhellenic Council, and serving as a campus-wide crisis manager

· Charged with developing a comprehensive leadership development program available for members of the entire fraternity and sorority community and connected to the Engaged Cornell initiative

Assistant Dean of Students, August 2006-July 2015

· Serve as an advocate, educator, and front-line contact for our 4,000+ student fraternity and sorority community

· Plan, implement, and execute the annual on campus Andrew Dickson White Annual Summit for Greeks; approximately 350 new fraternity and sorority executive board members as well as alumni, staff, and guests of the university attend

· Communicate with inter/national fraternities and sororities in regard to the performance of their local chapters

· Work with the students to maintain a budget funded by their dues

· Establish a teambuilding retreat for our 25 executive council officers

· Perform risk management and social event guideline training each semester for chapter leaders

· Create and implement the End of Year evaluation process for all chapters

· Regularly communicate with Cornell alumni regarding their specific fraternities and sororities

· Serve on university committees such as the Assessment Council, Student and Academic Services Research Working Group, Greek Leadership Academy class planning committee, The President’s Committee on Alcohol and Other Drugs and The President’s Committee on Mental Health and Wellbeing

· Serve on the university’s Community Support Team to work with students and student groups in crisis situations regarding mental health issues and student emergencies; serve as an on-call university crisis manager for one week a semester

· Since January 2013, supervise two professional staff members who currently advise the Panhellenic Council and the Multicultural Greek Letter Council

· Collaborate with the two OFSIL facilities staff members regarding university-owned facility issues

· Plan gatherings and produce resources for live-in house directors each semester

· Supervise the staff member responsible for diversity and inclusion education in the fraternity and sorority community

· Maintain relationships with local officials like Ithaca Fire Department, Cornell University Police, Cayuga Heights police, fire, and building department, City of Ithaca Building Department, & Cornell Environmental Health and Safety as it relates to chapter behavior, education, and health living-learning environments

· Work with Gannett Health Center on initiatives such as combatting hazing, safe alcohol management, mental health, and general wellness issues

· Communicate with our Residence Life liaison on all matters related to fraternity and sorority life

· Collect and maintain data, such as community service hours and philanthropy dollars for the year in addition to recruitment statistics

· Assist with the expansion efforts of new fraternities and sororities

· Judicial Administrator Office trained Title IX Investigator

· Graduate of the Cornell Office of Human Resources New Supervisor Training (6 sessions-June 2014)

· Attended and completed the Hal Craft Leadership Development Program facilitated by the Office of Human Resources (August 2014)

· Participate in campus wide initiatives involving Collegetown, which is an off-campus area heavily populated by students; collaborations include the B.E.A.R. Walk and “partying without the police”

Judicial Administrator Office, Cornell University, Fall 2012

· During a staff member’s maternity leave, I filled in as an assistant judicial administrator in the JAO.

· I worked one half day a week in the JAO. During this time, I met with students alleged to have violated the Campus Code of Conduct.

· These meetings were educational and the result was an agreed upon sanction if the student was found responsible.

Office of the Dean of Students, University of Miami

Coordinator for Greek Affairs, August 2003-August 2006

· Advise the Interfraternity Council, Panhellenic Council, Association of Greek Letter Organizations, and the Latino Greek Council

· Facilitate the fraternity and sorority recruitment processes
