PANIC BUTTON PROCEDURE

There are two Panic Alarm/Buttons on the desk at reception, and one in each of the interview rooms.

When pressed (both buttons together) they will sound and a light will flash in the Contact Centre on first floor, they are not audible on the ground floor.

When on reception, your safety is of paramount importance. If you fell you are in imminent danger, remove yourself to the post room off reception and lock the door behind you.

Other staff will come downstairs to support you.

A decision as to whether we need the police will be taken. If Gill Bradley is not available, other Manager’s can be consulted – Wayne/Leanne/Barbara/John Bowker. However if you make a decision to call the police that decision will be supported.

The panic alarm can be reset with the small plastic key. I have one on my desk and there is another in the drawer on reception where we keep the door keys, using the code 12345.

1. Panic alarm is pressed.

2. Retreat to Post Room.

3. Wait for assistance.

4. When coast is clear – reset alarm.
