Palo Alto Networks Ignite Conference 2012

Re: Ignite Conference 2012

Palo Alto Networks is holding its user conference on November 12-14, 2012, which will be the largest gathering in the world of professionals who have implemented Next-Generation Firewalls, and I would like to attend. Palo Alto Networks’ product teams, together with over 20 enterprise customers, will deliver over 30 educational breakouts, on next-generation network security – trends, architecture, and operations. I also expect to learn quite a bit from my fellow network security professionals on deploying and managing their next-generation firewalls. The first session of each of three tracks (futures, architecture, and operations) will be lead by analyst speakers including principal analysts from Forrester and Securosis.

Specifically, I would like to attend these sessions:

· <Session I>

· <Session II>

· <Session III>

The conference is also hosting an Expert Lab manned by Palo Alto Networks product experts, which will be open for questions throughout the conference. I’d like to take this chance to talk with the product management team about [list your interests here].

My attendance will serve both our organization and my professional development – I will be able to apply what I’ll learn to our network security initiatives, and this conference can count towards my annual CPE requirements. Specifically, I will be working to improve [add project or initiative]

Here is an approximate breakdown of conference costs:

Airfare: $300

Transportation: (round trip taxi from airport to hotel) $70

Hotel: (3 nights at $169) $507

Registration Fee $795

CNSE Certification Exam $150

Total: $1822

I will submit a report post-conference that will include a summary, major takeaways, and a set of recommendations to advance our specific projects.

Thank you for considering this request.
