"Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!
Peace in heaven and glory to God."

Lessons

On Palm Sunday, the crowds recognized Jesus as a king. Jesus accepted their praise. But later that week, the same crowds shouted for him to be killed.

During Holy Week, Jesus died for our sins so that God could forgive us and make us his children and followers. When we accept Jesus as our Savior, he calls us to recognize him as our king and then follow him faithfully.

If Jesus is my king, I will obey him. I will try to please him. I will worship him.

Prayer

Jesus, we praise and worship you as our king. Help us to obey you and to please you this week. Amen.
