Key Messages Covered: To start, the presentation briefly discussed the current operation of Internal Combustion Engines (ICEs), and current issues with pollution and non-renewable fossil fuels. Afterwards, there was an introduction to bio-fuels, and discussed hydrogen fuel cells, solar technology, and battery electric vehicle technology. The concept of hybrids was subsequently introduced, with the story of the NCSU EcoCAR architecture selection included.
Any measurable results: Based on feedback, presentation was a good start to what the team envisions to be weekly or bi-weekly presentations to various local schools. Technical difficulties were incurred concerning internet links to animations and footage. In the future presentations, this can be resolved by having pre-downloaded videos to make a more reliable presentation setup regardless of internet connections
