I would like to take this opportunity to thank you on behalf of the Governing Body of Ashley School for your interest in applying for the position of Headteacher. The position has arisen following the planned retirement of the existing Head who is highly respected and has been the driving force behind the many successes of Ashley School.
Ashley School is an ‘Outstanding’ school and therefore we are looking for an
outstanding leader to continue to drive this school forward and carry on its success.
We are a two form entry and currently have 10 classes. We currently have 74 children on role with a range of moderate learning difficulties and additional needs including communication difficulties. We are in the process of gaining NAS Accreditation.
The appointment will take effect from the 1st September 2012. This is the ideal
opportunity for an ambitious, enthusiastic and highly skilled leader who can lead
by example and is ready to rise to new challenges and implement new initiatives.
Ashley School has a caring, welcoming environment for staff, pupils, governors and
visitors. We are well established and known by both the local and wider communities. We encourage pupils and parents to take an active role in school life. We have a highly effective and well established School Council and have achieved many regional and national awards over the years. We are currently in the process of completing our full International Schools Award.
