We have put together this letter template to help you communicate the advantages of attending the Omniture Summit. I’d like to attend the EMEA Omniture Summit 20th – 21st May, in London, UK. Because of the careful attention we’re giving to our budget spend, I want to outline why my attendance is a worthy expense and a good investment.
The 2 day EMEA Omniture Summit provides the very latest best practices and new innovations in online marketing. The training and keynotes will show me specifically how to use our Omniture investment in a way that is innovative allowing us to let our data lead and shape our decisions even more than we do today. Additionally, Omniture Summit is an unmatched networking opportunity. I’ll be able to talk to peers in our industry to learn how they’re tackling the marketing challenges we’re currently working to solve.
The EMEA Omniture Summit will provide over 30 breakout sessions emphasising real-world customer successes with solutions from the Omniture Suite. Each session will feature an in-depth case study highlighting best practices from Omniture experts and a takeaway that I can bring back and implement here immediately.
As in past years, the EMEA Omniture Summit will feature keynote speeches from industry thought leaders and analysts as well as provide access to the Omniture engineers and consulting to address some of our immediate issues or get us started on the right path for more complex questions.
Obviously, attending the EMEA Omniture Summit will be an initial expense, but because of the opportunity for me to meet and problem solve with other Omniture and online marketing experts, my attendance at this Summit is an opportunity that we cannot afford to miss. Specifically, I will be attending the Summit to get information or help with:

Here is an estimation of the cost to send me to EMEA Omniture Summit 2010. The cost of Summit already includes the cost of all meals:
Airfare- budget: €120
Hotel: (2 night at £149.00) €350
Registration: (If I register by March 31st) €275 (w/o “Early Bird”: €395)
Total: €745 (w/o “Early Bird”: €865)
I am requesting approval from you now so we can take advantage of Omniture’s “Early Bird” registration rate of only €275—saving us €120. Also, if we buy two Summit passes at the regular price, we will receive a third conference pass free, and there are further enhanced discounted tickets for bulk purchases.
I will plan to meet with you after the EMEA Omniture Summit to discuss significant takeaways, tips and recommended actions to maximise our investment in Omniture. Additionally, I’ll pass along relevant information from the Summit with key personnel in sales and marketing.
