Purpose:
This program is designed to enhance the participants’ knowledge regarding
topics current to the practice of med surg nursing, to enhance the nurses knowledge about self-care, relationship based care, the HCAHPs survey and what it signifies to med surg nurses, and appreciative inquiry.
Objectives:
At the completion of the program, participants will be able to:
· Appreciate the importance of personal and professional wellness.
· Identify risks for compassion fatigue and burnout.
· Evaluate and apply principles of Relationship-Based care with both colleagues and customers.
· Describe the HCAHPS survey and its importance.
· Analyze and identify the best of “what is” relating either to self-care, patient satisfaction, or an RBC moment.
Continuing Nursing Education:
This program is approved for 4.0 Nursing Contact Hours. Virtua is an approved provider of continuing education in nursing by New Jersey State Nursing Association. NJSNA is accredited as an approver of continuing education in nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

· NO WALK-INS. Early registration is encouraged.
· Room temperature is cool. For your comfort, please dress in layers.
· We reserve the right to substitute speakers and/or topics. If minimum registration numbers are not achieved, we reserve the right to cancel program.

From the New Jersey Turnpike:
From either direction, take the NJ Turnpike to exit #4, Rt. 73 Marlton/Camden. Merge onto Rt. 73 S and at the second light make a left on Rogers Walk. Follow to the first street on the right – this is Howard Blvd. Follow to the second building on the right-this is 1200 Howard Blvd.
From the Ben Franklin Bridge:
Follow signs for Route 676 S, which becomes Route 42 S. Proceed on Route 42 S. to exit 295 N. Take exit #36A, and merge onto Rt. 73 S. Follow Rt. 73 S and at the second light make a left on Rogers Walk. Follow to the first street on the right – this is Howard Blvd. Follow to the second building on the right-this is 1200 Howard Blvd.
