MEN’S GOLF NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

Spectator Cart Rules

1. Golf carts will be reserved for those spectators with documented disabilities.

Spectators must send a letter from their physicians to obtain a golf cart during the championships. This letter must be received via fax (816-595-8200) by the National Office no later than Wednesday, May 7th. Please bring a copy of the physician’s letter to the championship.

2. “Spectator Golf Cart Usage Rules” must be signed upon pick-up of the golf cart the first day of the championship and a photo I.D. will be required.

3. A charge will be assessed at the golf course for each day that a cart is rented.

4. Spectators carts MUST remain on the golf cart paths throughout the course at all times. Spectators must remain at least 30 yards away from players. Spectators must be aware and stay out of the way off all the groups on the golf course. 1st Offense – warning. 2nd Offense – asked to leave golf course property.

5. Clubs, umbrellas, rain gear, etc. cannot be given to spectators by players and then retrieved later in the round by players.

6. Spectators are not allowed to give advice to the players. 1st Offense – warning. 2nd Offense – asked to leave golf course property. Players may be penalized or disqualified for this violation.

7. Spectators are not allowed to have conversations with players. This action could be construed as advice by Rules Officials or the Tournament Committee. 1st Offense – warning. 2nd Offense – asked to leave golf course property. Players may be penalized or disqualified for this violation.

8. Spectators are not allowed to carry a player’s golf bag and/or clubs. Spectators with golf carts are not allowed to offer rides to players. If this rule is violated, the player involved may be penalized or disqualified.

9. Spectators must not use cellular phones or pagers during championship play. Spectators must place cellular phones and pagers in the OFF position during the championship while they are on the golf course. 1st Offense – warning. 2nd Offense – asked to leave golf course property. Players must not use any spectator’s cellular phone during the championship play. Violation of this rule may result in the player being penalized or disqualified.

10. NO alcohol or tobacco products may be consumed on the golf course property.

11. The NAIA, LPGA International, and The Sun Conference are not held liable for any accident involving the rented golf cart. Each spectator rents the golf cart at their own risk.

As a spectator, I agree to follow the above rules/regulations. I understand that if any of the above rules/regulations are violated, I will be asked to return the golf cart that I am renting. I also understand that the NAIA, LPGA International, and The Sun Conference are not held accountable for risks ensued by renting this golf cart.
