Dear Parent/Guardian,

This year we will be incorporating the use of video to reinforce elements of storytelling, curricular themes, and to provide visual versions of anchor texts. This permission slip releases your child to view “PG” and “PG-13” rated movies during the 2016/2017 school year.

Only students who have returned this signed permission slip will be allowed to view these movies. Students without permission will be excused from the classroom during the video without penalty. These students will be given a comparable assignment to meet the lesson objective associated with viewing the video.

Note: We will be watching the film productions of The Book Thief, Frankenstein, Young Frankenstein, and the 1999 Fox Searchlight Pictures and Regency Enterprises production of William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream starring Michelle Pfeiffer and Kevin Kline.
