Our family would like to express our sincere appreciation for every act of Christian kindness shown to us during our father’s illness and passing. God has richly blessed our family and gives the peace that only He can give.

In His Love,

Family of Clifford Dickens

Dear Friends and Family:

I would like to start by saying what a mighty God we serve. I cannot begin to express how grateful I am for the chance to serve the people of Montroius, Haiti. I am forever changed by the awesome people I met in Haiti. Words or pictures can never represent the experience I had. I am so humbled by the donation of goods as well as monetary funding. I am so blessed with a great church family. Thank you so much for the prayers and support!

God bless,

Hayley Davis

An Outward Focus

Luke 14:12-24

INTRODUCTION

Have you ever seen things out of focus? Without my glasses, the world is tremendously fuzzy! We must make sure we are seeing the world through the eyes of our Savior or we will see things out of focus. Today, let’s examine what a clear outward focus would look like.

I. Opportunity of the Obvious

a. Jesus takes the occasion of a meal at the home of a Pharisee to turn the attention to the Messianic Banquet.

b. An outward focus sees every situation as an opportunity to share the faith.

c. We are challenged to see everyone in a different way, the obvious way God sees them.

II. Obligation to share Outwardly

a. We must extend the invitation for others to come.

b. We can’t live wrong and share right.

c. We can’t live “right” enough to not share also.

III. Overflow of the Ordinary.

a. God desires a full house of ordinary people.

b. An outward focus will allow God’s love to overflow in the ordinary situations of life.

c. It is the overflow of God’s love that attracts people to God.

CONCLUSION

Today, as we focus on the elements of communion to help us look inward, may we plan to leave our worship with an outward focus.
