Here's one for Buddah

It seems that Dover, NH is a hot bed for subversive ex-husbands. Steven W. Coleman was arrested saturday night after an elusive chase on his riding mower. Mr. Coleman had allegedly tossed two Molotov Cocktails made of Budwiser Bottles (No one was sure if they were ignited). But two members of the Housing Project had to go to the Hospital due to the fumes (??!?!?!!?).
Anyway, here's two links Here and here.

Ellen steps up

It appears that Ellen DeGeneres has hooked up with Portia de Rossi. Damn, how can I convince Ms. de Rossi that I am a Lesbian trapped in a man's body.

Business is good

Liquor sales are up and we at the State Store are very happy about that. If we could raise a glass at work, we would, but we would probably get fired. I wonder, if we had a Christmas party at work, what would be served? Would we get buzzed on our own supply? That would be an interesting sight.

The Strange Guy Who Shot Dime Bag:

Shooting Suspect Obsessed With Pantera

By ANITA CHANG, Associated Press Writer

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The man who shot former Pantera guitarist "Dimebag"
Darrell Abbott and three other men to death at a nightclub was
obsessed with the popular heavy metal band and made bizarre
accusations against it, a onetime friend said in reports published
Friday.

Jeramie Brey said gunman Nathan Gale once showed up at a friend's
house saying he wanted to share songs he had written. The pages of
lyrics were copied from Pantera, but Gale claimed he had written
them, Brey said.

"He was off his rocker," Brey told The Columbus Dispatch. "He said
they were his songs, that Pantera stole them from him and that he was
going to sue them."

He later told Brey that he planned to sue Pantera for stealing his
identity. Brey and friend Dave Johnson said Gale's behavior
frightened them and they distanced themselves from him several years
ago. But other friends said they never considered Gale capable of
violence. More...

Alot of Christians are a little tiffed over the current Nativity Scene at Madame Tussaud's in London. I think the Infant Jesus is supposed to be Gwynneth Paltrow's newborn Apple.

Word origin lesson: Dude

I use this word a lot. It was a standard California phrase, but according to a study it really has much more meaning than I ever knew. Enjoy.

A funny thing happened on the way to the office

This morning on my way to work, I saw two complete idiot assbags playing 'road rage' with each other. One was driving an older Jeep Cherokee and the other was in a newer Pontiac. As they violently switched lanes, endangered other commuters and tail-gated each other at high speeds, I was intrigued and did my best to keep up them to see what may happen.

As we crossed the intersection where Ogden Avenue bears right and if you go straight thru it becomes Raymond Road, the Pontiac overtook the Jeep and cut right back in front of him after a highly dangerous series of manuevers around a school bus and a slow moving truck. After making his "cut" he slammed on his breaks. The jeep didn't even break and hit the Pontiac from behind. The driver of the Pontiac rolled down his window and gave a "thumbs up" sign and slowed to a crawl. I passed them on the left and watched as they slowly pulled into a parking lot of a medical facility. I turned around and went back cause I really wanted to see if they were gonna come to blows. I love a good fist fight! I also wanted to tell both of them what I thought of them putting my life and the lives of other drivers at risk while they played their stupid little game.

Man Trampled by Pet

And this is why you don't keep wild animals as "pets"...

I hate to say that he had it coming or asked for it, but he did. If you keep "pet" lions and get eaten by them, I have little sympathy for you. There should be a rule about keeping creatures outside of zoos that are equal to or higher up the food chain than men.

Today in My World

This is day three of alcohol abstinence for Mike and I. Mike has not had one alcoholic drink over the past three days, but he has also not had one cigarette since Friday afternoon! He just quit cold turkey and there have been no side effects. He did smoke from a pack and a half to two packs a day before he decided to just give it up. There was no reason to quit, we just decided to do so. I found myself cleaning house like crazy this weekend, mainly to look for the keys to my truck that I misplaced. Being sober for the weekend felt like a speed high, if you know what I mean.

This morning I found a package of pink snowballs on my desk with a note that said simply "You deserve a treat today". Now isn't that sweet! I haven't had a snowball in years.

My butt hurts today. I am not usually clumsy, but I managed to fall halfway down my deck steps on Sunday. One cheek is black and purple with a huge red center. I sat on icepacks most of the day Sunday and on one cheek at work yesterday. Ouch.

Well, there you have it....an accomplishment, a treat, and an owie...this is my day.
