Meet The Teacher!
Hi! My name is Andrea Schafer and I am thrilled to be your teacher! It’s going to be a fun year full of lots of learning and new adventures. I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us!!! I want to know ALL about you, but first I am going to tell you a few things about me.
I am from St. Clairsville and am the middle child- I have an older brother and a younger brother. After graduating from high school, I moved to Oxford, Ohio and attended Miami University (Go Redhawks!) and majored in Early Childhood Education. I couldn’t WAIT to get started teaching!
I taught first grade for 3 years at North Elementary in Cambridge, Ohio before moving back to St. Clairsville. I taught first grade for 3 years at St. Clairsville before taking an extended maternity leave of two years. I am super excited to be back in the classroom. I LOVE teaching first grade- you are at the perfect age to be silly, have tons of fun, all while becoming strong readers and writers! I hope to challenge you to reach for the stars this year!
I am married to a wonderful man, Jeremy and we have two adorable, crazy little boys! My oldest son Brady is 4 and will be attending St. Clairsville preschool this year. I am excited to have him in the same building as me! My sweet baby boy is Luke (Lukie). He just turned 2 this summer. They are tons of fun and keep me super busy! We also have a wild dog, Benny, whom we all adore. I will really be missing my boys while at school so I will need lots of hugs from you! J
I feel so honored to be your teacher this year and look forward to an amazing year full of loads of learning fun! We have a great group in room 8 and I can’t wait to get to know all of you!
