Graduation Requirements: 30 credits minimum

At least 16 cr. at 6000 level
At least 16 cr. must contain the MATH or MATP prefix (8 of these credits must be at the 6000 level)
At least one 3-4 credit course at the 4000 or 6000 level must be taken outside of the Department (This course should not be coded as MATH or MATP course or cross listed with such courses and require the pre-approval of one’s Advisor)
Each student must participate in a Capstone Professional Experience by registering and completing one of the following alternatives:
o  MATH-6980 Master’s Project
o  MATH-6970 Master’s Practicum (pre-approval by a member of the Mathematical Sciences Faculty is required and can be in the form of a Cooperative Internship or active participation in the Mathematics in Industry Workshop.
o  A sequence of two MATH courses, at least one of which is at the 6000 level with the second digit either 4, 5, 6, 7, or 8; or is a Special Topics course MATH-696X (subject to approval of the advisor)
o  A sequence of two MATP courses, at least one of which is at the 6000 level, or is a Special Topics course MATP-696X (subject to approval of the advisor).
