Modifiers
Modifiers are important and are necessary in many instances for the recreation of the bill code for payment. Please remember to use the modifiers as noted below:
Modifier Field 1 is ONLY to be use if you have a single contract with multiple service groups. If your contract contains more than one service group, you will use Modifier 1 to depict the service group of the client for which you are billing services.
Modifier Field 2 will be used if:
1. It is shown on the crosswalk; or
2. Your contract requires you to specify a budget when filing a claim.
Modifier Field 3 will be used ONLY if shown on the crosswalk.
Modifier Field 4 will be used ONLY if shown on the crosswalk.
