IA Architect

Location: Peterson AFB (Colorado Springs, CO)

Clearance Required: Top Secret

Anticipated Start Date: Immediate; fully funded

PCI is actively seeking an Information Assurance Architect for an immediate opening supporting work at Peterson AFB.

Primary Function:

Provide Cyber Security support to the Mobile Command and Control Center (MCCC), which is within the Battle Management Directorate (AFLCMC/HB) at Peterson AFB, CO.

Responsibilities:

The IA Architect duties include, but are not limited to:

· Perform full integration of cybersecurity into all phases of acquisition, upgrade, and modification programs, including design, development, testing, fielding, operation, sustainment, and DoD Assessment and Authorization (A&A) Risk Management Framework (RMF) transition and compliance.

· Advise the MCCC program office on architecture mitigations to limit risk posture within the system, and represent the risk posture in briefings and slides to Head Quarters AFSPC and USSTRATCOM.

· Evaluate all COTS products (hardware and software) to ensure they meet current information assurance standards and that security patches released by OEMs are installed and verified.

· Evaluate current status of potential information system threats from casual intrusion to intrusions meant to permanently or irreparably degrade system performance of protection.

· Interpret and analyze processing anomalies in major complex engineering systems and take corrective action.

· Review cybersecurity documentation to ensure satisfaction of Security Engineering and Assessment requirements (system control identification), to include reviewing implementation and validation plans, assist with the entry and review of entered information to the Enterprise Information Technology Data Repository (EITDR), assist with the preparation and review of Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) documentation, and assess system compliance and enter in Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS).

· Collect, review, and generate documentation in support of cross‐domain solution approvals (CDSAs) and monitor CDSAs for expiration.

· Assist the program office in cybersecurity requirements and solutions, source selection documentation, and task orders in regards to cybersecurity.

· Utilize National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) 800 series special publications in the development of new system artifacts to ensure compliance with new RMF requirements and to interpret requirements as necessary to ensure system compliance or provide operational justification when deemed necessary

· Evaluate all COTS products (hardware and software) to ensure they meet current information assurance standards and that security patches released by OEMs are installed and verified.

· Develop, review, and refine Continuity of Operations (COOP) package documentation and related artifacts.

· Perform validation of systems, including development of criteria and procedures.

· Develops, reviews, and approves plans, schedules, and other technical documentation.

· Comply with RMF, DoD Directive (DoDD) 8500.01E, DoD Instruction (DoDI) 8500.2, DoDI 8500.01, and DoDI 8510.01 and other IA/Cybersecurity guidance and directives as applicable.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree in a related engineering discipline.

· A minimum of 5 yrs work experience, with experience on DoD or Air Force acquisition programs desirable.

· Must have a current Security + certification. CISSP certification is desirable.

· Candidate should have proficiency in the RMF and DIACAP process and be able to use eMASS.

· Candidate must obtain, and maintain, the proper personnel clearance– Top Secret
