Church,

It is that time of year! Christmas! As a child I can remember getting uber-pumped for presents every Christmas morning, but as God has worked on my heart, I have come to realize that the joy of Jesus satisfies on a level that material stuff cannot touch. The greatest gift of all is Jesus, and we are celebrating that in many ways this month.

One of the greatest ways that we do this is giving to make his name known around the world. I know you are sick of me talking about Lottie Moon. Too bad! Our goal is $7,000 and we are receiving your offerings through the end of December. So give. Give prayerfully. Give humbly. Give sacrificially. Give believing that God is doing incredible things around the world through your gifts. Give!

Also pray. December 4th-11th is the Lottie Moon Week of Prayer. We have prayer guides available, and we will devote time every prayer meeting in December to the families mentioned in those guides.

I love you church, and Merry Christmas!!!

Thanks Youth choir for your beautiful Christmas music for the Hanging of the Green. We will begin meeting again in Januaryand begin working on a musical to present in May.

The Honduras team is beginning to take shape. Please keep the Honduras ministry in your prayers and especially our trip February 25th - March 4th. If you would like to help our team members with the cost of the trip or help pay for the project, we would appreciate it. We will give you a list of supplies in January.

What a great time we had at YEC, if you missed out you missed a time of great fellowship and worship with your fellow youth.

December is a very special month in all of our lives. It is a time of celebrating the birth of Jesus the One who came to save us from our sins. In all of our busyness during this holiday season may we never forget the greatest gift of all, Jesus. I know before we can look forward to the holidays we must make it through these next 3 weeks of school.

We have been missing several of you on Sunday and Wednesday. We will be making plans to have different activities going on during the month. Come be a part of this busy month with us.

I hope each of you has a merry Christmas and are looking forward to the start of a new year.

Ashley
