KING'S BRASS OUTDOOR CONCERTS

(or concerts in auditoriums seating more than 1000)

In order to successfully perform an outdoor concert or large concert venues, we will need the following:

AUDIO NEEDS

1. Outdoor sound systems to "sound reinforce" the brass, to project speaking, and to boost keyboards.

2. Five microphones (wide pattern microphones preferred) and stands to "sound reinforce" the brass. We will need reverb on the brass for best sound. Wind screens are needed for all microphones. We will need one wireless “clip-on” microphone for the tuba.

3. We will use our own speaking microphone and stand. We will need a line to this microphone.

4. We will NOT need an acoustic piano for outdoor concerts. However, we will connect our keyboards (one line) into the outdoor system. We will need a regular height or adjustable (preferred) piano bench.

5. We will need a sound tech to control the sound board which will be located out in the audience, not on stage.

6. We will NOT need monitors.

7. We will also need to "sound reinforce" the percussion. We will have a drum set, two timpani, orchestra bells and marimba.

8. Please ask the sound tech to listen to The King’s Brass “Joyful” CD, and try to imitate as closely as possible the hall sounds we have on this recording. We would like the outdoor concerts to sound as similar as possible to the sound we have in a “live” hall.

STAGE NEEDS:

1. We would appreciate an acoustical shell behind the brass. This will greatly improve the sound.

2. A raised stage is needed, 25 feet wide and 15 feet deep.

MISCELLANEOUS NEEDS:

1. Water backstage.

2. Bug spray

3. An eight foot table for cassette and CD sales. A light for the sales table will need to be provided for evening concerts.

4. Nine small towels for group members.
