King Soopers and Safeway Cards
How does the program work?
Your initial card purchased at the Colorado Storm office will have $5 loaded on it. You may then load it at the store with up to $500, please load the cards in $100 increments. Once reloaded you will begin to earn 4% back on the amount that was reloaded on your card, this 4% will go back to your Colorado Storm account. Your cards are linked to your account by the number on the back of the card and the information entered on the sheet when you purchased the card at the Colorado Storm office. You may purchase additional cards and give them to family and friends to use as well, these cards will also be linked to your Colorado Storm account by the number on the back of the card and the information entered at the Colorado Storm office. You must purchase a Safeway or King Soopers card at the Colorado Storm office, cards purchased anywhere else cannot be linked to your Colorado Storm account.
Reloading Cards:
All cards purchased at the Colorado Storm office start with a balance of $5. They are all reloadable at the store when you go in to shop. Each card must be reloaded in a separate transaction prior to your items being scanned. If you reload your card and then start a new transaction at the same check stand there will be no delay for the funds to be avaialable on your card. If you reload your card at the customer service desk or a register other than where your items are scanned there will be a 5 minute delay before your funds are available.
What Cards Can Be Used For:
King Soopers cards may be used to purchase anything except services. Services include Western Union, Money Orders, Ticket Master, Postage Stamps, Lottery Tickets, and other Gift Cards.
Safeway cards may be used for groceries, the in store Gift Card Mall, Postage Stamps, Fuel, and Event Sales. Safeway cards may not be used to purchase Money Orders, Western Union, Lottery Tickets, or reloadable Visa cards and Master Cards.
Additional Information:
Any card that has a $0 balance for 90 days will become inactive; a new card will need to be purchased from the Colorado Storm office. If a card cannot be reloaded a new card will need to be purchased from Colorado Storm. Occasionally a card will be demagnetized, although this is rare it does happen. In this instance use the remaining balance on the card and then purchase a new card at the Colorado Storm office.
Transferring the Funds to Your Colorado Storm Account:
In order to have your 4% placed in your team account your teams treasurer must email with their name and address. After this has been done the funds will be sent to the team treasurer.
