Karen A. McGarr
(July 21, 1973 - December 31, 2010)
McGarr, Karen A. (nee Kelly), 37 of Egg Harbor Twp., passed away on Friday, December 31, 2010 in the presence of her loving family.
Born in Manalapan, NJ, she attended St. John Vianney High School in Holmdel, and Mt. St. Mary's University in Emmitsburg, MD. She was also a member of the Englishtown-Manalapan First Aid Squad. Karen was employed by the State of NJ, and served as a Senior Probation Officer with the Superior Court.
She was predeceased by her father, William T. Kelly, Sr.; and her brother, William T. Kelly, Jr. She is survived by her husband, John J. McGarr III; her two children, Jack (3 years old) and Kylie (1 year old); her mother, Marita Kelly of Clearwater, FL; and her mother and father -in- law, Lennea and John J. McGarr, Jr. of Sea Isle City.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Road, Northfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at 11:00am at St. Gianna Beretta Molla Parish/St. Bernadette Church, 1421 New Road, Northfield.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the John J. McGarr IV and Kylie Anne McGarr Trust fund at Bank of America, 1 N. Main Street, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.
Interment will be held Wednesday in St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery, Lakewood, NJ
