WELCOME TO THE HOLY TRINITY JUNIOR HIGH

2012 SUMMER READING PROGRAM!

Here’s how it works. In order to participate in the summer reading program, you must be a student entering 6th, 7th or 8th grade at Holy Trinity Junior High. The books that you read must be from the attached list. It might look like the same list from last year, but I do add new titles under each category every year! For each book that you read you will receive a prize. The prize list is attached. If you want to be eligible for the raffle prizes, you must read one book from each category, and your sixth book is your choice. You will receive one raffle ticket for each book after you have read six.

The Junior High School Library will tentatively be open on the following days so that students may check out books:

Tuesday, May 29th from 3:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m.

Monday, June 4th from 12:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m.

Tuesday, June 12th from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.

Wednesday, June 20th from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

Thursday, June 28th from 8:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m.

Friday, July 13th from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

Monday, July 16th from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.

Tuesday, July 24th from 11:00a.m.-1:00 p.m.

Please check the Library Webpage on the school website for updates concerning the days and times that the library will be open. The books may also be found at Bloomington and Normal Public Libraries as noted on the reading list.

For each book that you read, you will have to do a book review. The review may be either written or drawn. Your review will have to include the title and author of the book as well as what you liked or didn’t like about the book. The reviews should be turned in to Mrs. McConnell the first week of school. Your parents will also have to fill out the attached form to verify which books you have read.

The raffle winners will be drawn at a pizza party celebration the second week of school. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. McConnell().

Enjoy your summer reading!
