Rules

General Rules

· The highest bidder wins the item.

· You are committed to pay the amount you offer as a bid.

· Cash or check made out to JHU only (sorry, no credit cards).

· If you’re bidding in a group, one person should bid on behalf of the group.

· If the item is a group item, place a bid for the total, cumulative amount (not the amount each individual will pay).

· Auction items listed in the catalogue were updated on November 25, 2007. Auction organizers are authorized to make changes to the catalogue without notice.

Silent Auction

11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Feinstone Hall

· The bidding ends promptly at 3:30 p.m.

· Bidders (or a friend) should return to Feinstone at 3:30 p.m. to see if they won.

· Winners (or a friend) should pay for items before 4 p.m. at Feinstone Hall.

· If your item is not paid for by 4 p.m. you will receive an e-mail that night. You must respond to this e-mail before 10 a.m. the next morning (Friday December 7th) or the item will be awarded to the next highest bidder.

Live Auction

Noon to 2 p.m. in Feinstone Hall

· Items will be auctioned off in the order listed in the catalogue

· Auctioneers will acknowledge bids when bidding paddles are raised—these are binding commitments

· The winner must pay for the item immediately
