POSITION TITLE: INSTALLATION ENGINEER

Reports To: Installation Engineering Supervisor

SUPERVISES: N/A

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

· Focus will be technical and some operational support for heavy lift
operations for both offshore/nearshore lifts and occasionally onshore lift
operations as well as floatover operations

· Technical skills needed would be reviewing lift analysis and plans, loadout
analysis and plans, seafastening and transport analysis

· Participation in early planning efforts for projects, from a lift and
floatover perspective

· Participation in Risk Assessments

· Functional support role as opposed to dedicated project

· Worldwide travel on an as needed basis

MAIN FUNCTIONS

· Provide technical support to offshore installation planning and execution activities

· Serve as primary interface for Installation coordinator with to contractor’s technical organization

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Develop/evaluate fundamental T & I execution approach & equipment

· Coordinate interface with Critical Activity Specialists

· Interface with EMDC Engineering Function

· Participate in constructability reviews and contractor selection process

· Provide technical input to scope of work and Installation specifications for ITT’s

· Provide technical input to tender evaluation exercise

· Review and approve installation procedures and Contractor studies

· Steward Marine Warranty Surveyor review and approve of installation plans and procedures

· Develop T&I Surveillance Plans with Operations' input

· Participate in Risk Assessments and pre-mobilization reviews

· Evaluate nominated subcontractors as required

· Provide Technical support as needed to field team during installation

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

· BS/MS in Engineering

· 15-20 years of lift and floatover experienced preferred (may focus on the lifting exp over the floatover) BS/MS in Engineering or Naval Architecture
