Job Title / Northside Partnership - Registrar/Information Officer
Reporting to / Northside Partnership - Local Development Manager
About Northside Partnership / The Northside Partnership is a Local Development Company working with individuals and communities in north east Dublin to bring about positive changes in their own lives and in the life of their community.
A registered Charity, we work to improve opportunities for people experiencing poverty and disadvantage and offer a range of programmes and services to support individuals, local organisations and communities across the Northside Partnership catchment.
Our key beneficiaries include long term unemployed people, early school leavers, those living with addiction issues, disadvantaged families, lone parents and people living with disabilities.
Operating from four locations we provide a range of services including the Local Employment Service, Tus Community Work Placement Programme, Micro Enterprise Supports, Career Guidance, family supports and governance and capacity building supports to local community groups.
Our work is funded by the Irish Government, charitable organisations and private sources.
What is the purpose of the job? / The role of the Registrar/Information Officer is to support the SICAP Enterprise and Employment Officers in the registration of clients and development of Personal Action Plans for individuals, in consultation with the above names officers.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Client Registration / ·  Meet individuals on a one to one basis to establish their previous Employment and Education background, their hobbies and interests and their future goals.
·  The information gathered here forms the basis of the Personal Action Plan.
·  To capture the information in the Northside Partnership CRM system and mirror it in the IRIS system
Personal Action Plans / ·  Meet with individuals on a one to one basis to establish the gaps between their historical data (Employment and Education history) and their future goals
·  Working with the Employment and Education officers to identify appropriate supports and interventions in line with their goals
·  To capture the information in the Northside Partnership CRM system and mirror it in the IRIS system
·  To maintain files with regular updates and insure compliance with funders regulations
Programme Administration / ·  Schedule appointments
·  Booking meeting/training rooms
·  Supporting trainers in the collection of data realting to attendance records and registration details
Programme Queries / ·  Answering queries from clients, staff and programme trainers
·  Working in collaboration with internal and external complimentary support services
Person Specification
Qualifications / ·  Knowledge of the SICAP Employment & Enterprise programmes and other labour market programmes
·  Knowledge of CE/Tús Initiatives
·  ECDL or similar
Experience / ·  At least 2 years working in a client focused Community Organisation
·  Knowledge of the IRIS system is a distinct advantage
Personal Attributes / ·  He/she should also have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with other staff members, community, statutory and social partners and with disadvantaged members of the community.
·  Empathy and real understanding of the issues faced by marginalised individuals
·  Excellent I.T. skills
·  Accurate reporting skills
·  Demonstrated ability to work in a team
·  Effective time-management skills and the ability to multi-task
Terms and Conditions of Employment
Location / Northside Partnership, Coolock Development Centre, Bunratty Drive, Coolock.
Salary / €24,397 - €39,557 (14 point scale Including 2 long service increments)
Contract Type / Northside Partnership is offering a five year fixed term contract subject to completion of a successful probationary review. This is a full time position, 35 hrs per week.
Annual Leave / 22 working days exclusive of public holidays with one additional day awarded after each year of service up to 25 days.
Travel & Subsistence / Travel and subsistence will be paid at public sector rates
Probation / A probationary period of six months will apply
Pension / Northside Partnership operates a defined contribution group pension scheme. Employees have access to the scheme on successful completion of their six month probationary period.
Garda Vetting / Appointment to the role of Registrar/Information Officer is subject to the outcome of the Garda Vetting process.
