Dear Eighth Grade Parents and Students:

We would like to formally welcome you and your child to the eighth grade for the 2017-2018 school year. To make this transition easier for you and your child, we are including a list of materials needed for your child’s classes as well as a summer reading assignment. Your child is required to read at least one book from the 2 titles listed below and will take a reading comprehension and writing test based on the book read during the first/second week of school. This gives us the opportunity to learn a little about who your child is as a reader and writer. Please do not send all supplies on the first day of school. All students should have notebooks, pens and pencils on the first day of school.
