The Petersburg (VA) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated is proud to announce the celebration of its 75th Anniversary. The theme for this extraordinary moment is “Seventy-five Years of Achievement Through Scholarship and Service”. You are cordially invited to join us in celebrating our years of Achievement. The highpoint of our celebration will be an elegant Black Tie affair at the Gateway Dining and Event Center on the campus of Virginia State University in The Village of Ettrick, on Saturday, April 30, 2016. Tickets for the Black Tie Gala are $65.00 per person. Ticket payments are to be received not later than April 9, 2016. At the formal affair, as the keynote, scholarships will be officially named to honor and memorialize the work and service of five members of the Petersburg (VA) Alumni Chapter, each having more than 50 years of Fraternity membership and service to the people and students of the Greater Petersburg Region.
This wonderful point in time will also be marked by the playing of the 5th Annual Spring Golf Outing at the Dogwood Trace Golf Course on Friday, April 29, 2016. The Petersburg (VA) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. has been supporting the Greater Petersburg Area since April 18, 1941. This years’ tournament is part of the commemoration of our 75th year of achievement as a chapter. The tournament is a principal fundraising event for scholarships to qualifying high school seniors in the greater Petersburg community. Please see the enclosed flyer for tournament registration information and fees.
Your support will help grow the scholarship endowment fund of the Kappa Foundation of Petersburg, Incorporated and further enable us to provide financial assistance to young people in our community as they pursue higher education. We ask that you consider a sponsorship donation of at least $1,000.00, or the purchase of an advertisement in the Souvenir Program. Your sponsorship donation will be recognized at our celebration and golf tournament. Donations are tax deductible, to the extent allowed by law. A form, including instructions for submission of ads, is included with this correspondence.
