I am sharing something deeply personal here – my WHY statements (what keeps me going when I get discouraged – the WHY that makes me cry), MY PERFECT DAY and my “I AM” STATEMENTS (what helps me visualize the future I choose to create).
I hope that by reading what I share below, it will help you to create something that is deeply meaningful and motivating to you. Once you write down your own statements, print them out, carry them with you, and read them daily. You will be amazed at what happens in your life when you focus on what you choose to attract into your life!

WHAT’S MY WHY – KATHY PAAUW
§ To diminish the gap between the rich and the poor and achieve world peace.

§ To help others find out who they are so they can give themselves away, become financially free, and change the world by helping others do the same.
§ To enable Doug be able to do anything he wants with his life and his career.
MY PERFECT DAY
I wake up feeling alive, energized, and refreshed. I love getting up without an alarm, excited for what I will attract into my life today. After my morning meditation and visualization, I head to the gym for a workout with my personal trainer.
Today I am flying to San Diego to spend a few days with my team of Executives and some of their active and motivated team members. This is one of my favorite cities to visit. I love the warm sunshine and the ocean. It energizes me! I’ll spend a day doing some team training and also take a day to enjoy time at the beach with a few of my friends. My business is completely virtual and I can work from anywhere in the world that has Internet connection. I love teaching, inspiring, and coaching my team and building lasting relationships and memories with them.
Doug is my best friend, and he travels with me on some of the trips I take. He has been able to cut out the annoying administrative functions that he used to do as part of his job. Now he only does what he loves – seeing patients and teaching medical students. He also loves the freedom and flexibility we have, which enables us to go on medical mission trips. He loves knowing what a difference he makes in other countries, where their paperwork requirements are minimal and he gets to spend more time with the patients. He takes medical students with him and this becomes another great teaching opportunity for him. Doug has worked so hard for so long, and I am grateful that he finally has the freedom to focus on what he loves doing most and can say no to the rest.
After returning from the gym, I log into my computer and see that 128 team members came on board yesterday and we just attracted team member 100,000. Time to celebrate! I call my assistant to start planning a leadership retreat in Hawaii for 100 of our top team members. This will be a trip of a lifetime and I can't wait to surprise everyone with this reward. I also ask my assistant to start planning my next trip Down Under. My team there is thriving and I have 9 Executives and two Senior Executives who are both working toward Eagle. I can’t wait until they join me in the permanent Eagle’s Nest!
As I sit with Doug on our balcony, enjoying our amazing view of Lake Washington, I sip my mocha and we talk about the week ahead. We’ll both be departing for the airport later today. He is flying out to teach at a medical conference while I am in San Diego. From San Diego, I will fly to Las Vegas to do more team-building and recognition.
Doug and I have decided to meet in a few days in Las Vegas. We love visiting there, and it’s great to have time away together. Carly and her husband will also join us there and we look forward to spending a few days together doing our favorite activities in Vegas. We love Carly’s husband. He’s the son we never had, and we enjoy his sense of humor and the depth of his thoughts about current events. He is such a kind and compassionate person, and he adores Carly and treats her like a queen.
After we enjoy a healthy meal together, Doug and I hop in my new saphire blue Lexus GS 450 hybrid and drive to SeaTac Airport to board our respective flights. I feel such a strong sense of gratitude as I drive with the sun roof open and think about how blessed I am. Not only do I love what I have attracted into my life, but I also love that I have been able to assist others in attracting what they want into their lives. I feel the breeze in my face and take a deep breath in as I enjoy the moment. The sound system in the car is amazing and I am playing a love song for Doug – one that I recorded especially for him. As the CD plays, I feel so grateful that I have attracted an amazing lyricist and composer into my life, who has written songs just for my voice and performance style. Kevin Cole and I have produced my first professionally-recorded CD of songs. Doug looks so content and happy sitting next to me, listening to my music. Our relationship has really deepened and I love the intimate bond we have.
Tomorrow we’re expecting about 700 people at the San Diego training event. Many of these are members of my team, and we have also invited people from other teams to our event. One of the things I love about my SOC family is that we all share ideas, regardless of whose team someone is on. I have many good friends in San Diego who are on other teams, and I am happy to open my training events to them. At the training, I will sing a song that was written just for the occasion. I love incorporating singing into my training – something I had dreamed about for years. Music touches the soul like nothing else, and to be able to express what is on my heart and to connect with others in this way is deeply meaningful to me. Most people are surprised to learned that I am a singer, as they’ve only known me as an Eagle in SendOutcards. I always get a standing ovation and I feel the emotional impact my music has on the audience.
After tomorrow’s training, I’ll head back to the Presidential Suite of my hotel, where I will host a private gathering for my top 20 leaders in southern California. Afterwards we’ll have a team dinner, and I’ll pick up the tab without blinking an eye. My checks average $300,000 a month and I am grateful to be in a position to honor and recognize my team leaders by hosting a special dinner.
The next morning I’ll have a spa treatment and get a nice massage before I head off to spend a fun day with some of my best friends – members of my SOC family -- soaking in the wonderful San Diego sun and enjoying some of the local activities. I love pampering myself!
I am so grateful for the ability to be spontaneous and take off to wherever I want to go. My income and lifestyle is amazing. What’s even more amazing is the personal growth I have undergone over the last several years.
My real estate investments and other assets produce over $500,000 a year in residual income. I am grateful to be leveraging my income like this. I love that I am in a position to give away several hundred thousand dollars each year to several of my favorite charities.
I love coaching my team members – especially women – to help them see beyond their limiting beliefs. It’s so exhilarating to help someone begin to dream about ways that they can make a valuable and unique contribution while gaining financial independence and living a balanced life. Thousands of people’s lives have been enriched by their experiences building a SendOutCards business and doing their own personal work in the process. I used to only dream about being financially free and helping others do the same. Now I am living the dream!
As I land in San Diego, the sun is setting and I close my eyes briefly and say a prayer of thanks. I am truly living my dream and I love every moment of it. I am overcome with joy and gratitude and a tear runs down my cheek as I think about the many people and experiences I have attracted into my life. I am so grateful for all that I have and all that I have been able to contribute to others. As I leave the baggage area, my limo is waiting to pick me up. My local team takes such great care of me and I feel cherished and loved! What an amazing life I have!
