HUMBOLDT COUNTY JOB VACANCY

Humboldt County is seeking applications for the position of COMMUNICATIONS TECHNICIAN. The position works under general supervision installing or repairing and maintaining communications systems components for County departments and other agencies; operates test equipment, responds to service calls, maintains local and remote communications sites, and related duties. Applicants must have knowledge of analog and digital electronics, networked computer systems, repeater stations and radio systems, generators and emergency equipment, processes and procedures used in circuit analysis and corrective diagnosis, repair and troubleshooting of equipment, flat file and relational databases, and federal communications rules and regulations and national electrical code. Applicants must also possess a valid driver’s license and complete a background check. Salary starts at $22.72 per hour, plus excellent benefits.
