2014 Incoming Class

How the Ambassador Program Works

A profile of the admitted student is made using their LSDAS report, Personal Statement, Letters of Recommendation and other pertinent documents within the Admissions file.

The admitted student’s profile is matched against faculty ambassador profiles in order to determine the best match. Ideally, the Faculty Ambassador will have two points of contact with the admitted student: a call (verbal) and a letter or e-mail (written). We are asking Ambassadors to contact students within 7-10 days of receiving the assignment. Admitted student information will be emailed to the Faculty Ambassador.

Following the admitted student/ambassador communication, the Faculty Ambassador should complete the Faculty Ambassador Assessment Form (Faculty Ambassadors will receive one with each student’s file) and return via email to .

These instructions, a Faculty Profile Form, and the Faculty Ambassador Assessment Form are available online as well, and can also be submitted via email to . .

Dear Jane:

Congratulations on your recent acceptance to Regent University School of Law. I want to take this opportunity to welcome you and let you know how excited we are about this fall’s incoming class.

The faculty is committed to connecting with students here at Regent University and we have an Ambassador Program that will allow students to get to know faculty before they even get here. We want to make sure you have a chance to get your questions answered and find out as much as you can about the university. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help you better understand who we are and how a Regent University education will impact your life personally and professionally.

I will contact you soon to answer any questions you may have. I see that you have an interest in ________________ law, and since that is my area of specialty, I look forward to chatting with you about the current shifts in society and how it is impacting the laws that affect families. May God bless you as you prepare for law school!

Regards,

Professor Michael Schutt

Dear Jeremy,

Congratulations on your acceptance to Regent University School of Law! I want to take this opportunity to welcome you and to let you know how excited we are about this fall's incoming class and your potential part in it.

Through our Ambassador Program, members of our faculty contact admitted applicants to give them the opportunity to ask us any questions they have about Regent, law school in general, or anything with which we can help. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help you understand better who we are and how a Regent education will impact your personal and professional life. You can either contact me by email or let me know when would be a good time to call you.

God bless you as you continue to seek His will for your future!

Dear Brenda,

I am emailing just to touch base and see if you have any questions about Regent University School of Law that I can answer for you. We received your application and appreciate your interest in Regent. Your strong interest in family law is a credit to you. Regent approaches family law in a manner unlike most law schools in that we encourage our students to consider the needs of all members of the family, rather than just to advocate for a quick divorce to dissolve a marriage. I believe you would appreciate the emphasis we place on trying to preserve the marriage, rather than simply teaching "divorce" law.

Please call me and let me know if I can answer any questions for you, whether about Regent or law school in general..

God's blessings to you.
