How Registering with Selective Service Helps Secure Employment

There’s a lot to consider when trying to get a job. What do I want to do? Where do I want to work? Where are the opportunities available? There’s one more important consideration that some men overlook: Am I registered with Selective Service System? By law, almost all men are required to register with the Selective Service System. Registration can mean the difference between gainful employment and an unending job search.

o Federal student loans.

o Placement in federally funded job training programs.

o Good government jobs, including some careers in law enforcement.

o Drivers licenses in some states.
