Caring Clown Requirements: New participants must already be a clown. Clowns with less than two years experience must meet with clown coordinator and partner for an interview regarding motivation for caring clowning, fit within group, etc. New volunteer must read The Hospital Clown - A Closer Look by Patty Wooten and Shobhana Schwebke, complete Hospital Volunteer Orientation program, shadow current clowns in group until ready to complete rounds on own. New volunteer receives feedback and asks questions following each session at the hospital to ensure all procedures are done correctly.
