Here Are a Few Suggestions for Areas You Won T Want to Miss

OPEN HOUSE

Welcome to our classroom!! Please feel free to look around, and don’t leave without introducing yourself!

Here are a few suggestions for areas you won’t want to miss:

1. Your child’s desk – can you find it? It looks like them!

2. Their journal (on their desk) – Read their entry about 3rd grade and then respond with “your favorite thing about 3rd grade” (don’t let them read it until tomorrow!).

3. A Teacher is….. book and The Important Book – both created by our class!

4. Our pet hermit crab, “George”

5. Classroom library

6. The suns hanging in the room, with the children’s goals on them.

7. “Wild about Words” word wall

8. Chrysanthemum doll (on the white board)

9. Morning Math Bulletin Board

10. Map of the U.S. – awaiting postcards from all over!

11. King/Queen of the Jungle – all about the teacher now, but for our students later.

12. “Information Hut” (bulletin board in the front)

13. Sign-up sheet for any volunteering you can do (big or small!) – at the table

14. “T-riffic Summer” bulletin board (in the hall)

15. Please take a card before you leave – our small way of saying THANK YOU for coming!

16. SURPRISE!!! If you finished looking at all the other areas, find our yellow treasure chest – there’s 1 baggie for each student. Enjoy!

Don’t forget, our school library is open with the Book Fair tonight.

Also, the PTO meeting is at 6:30.
