Job Description

Responsible for performing independent audits in all areas of engineering, operations, maintenance and support organizations for Nuclear. Performs independent audits of all departments involved in nuclear safety, such as construction, design engineering, operations, maintenance, testing, and selected other activities, including personnel performance. Prepares, plans and schedules for conducting of audits and surveillance. Reviews documents, witnesses the performance of audited activities, prepares checklists and agendas for audit, performs audits and assessments of performance, conducts pre-and post-audit interviews, and prepares final audit report. Ensure and documents that corrective actions are taken based on report findings. Reviews organization’s QA manual and implementation procedures to verify compliance with industry codes and standards, NRC regulations and regulatory commitments. Assess performance to INPO’s “Performance Objectives and Criteria” (INPO 13-013) and effectiveness of accomplishing the intended results of plant activities. Maintains up-to-date knowledge and understanding of NRC revisions to regulations and industry codes and standards. Conducts audits of vendor/contractor QA/QC programs to ensure compliance.

REQUIRED: BS Degree and/or combination of education and related experience. PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent. Requires 6-8 years of experience in a nuclear technology or related discipline. PWR or BWR operating plant experience. Strong Investigative abilities with high quality communication skills. Ability to obtain ATL certification. Must meet and maintain Nuclear’s requirements for Unescorted Plant Access.

DESIRED: MS Degree, current or previous SRO or certification. ATL Certification.
