Grouser Introduces New AG Series Row Crop Blades
AG 240 Increase Efficiency, Convenience, Ease of Use
WEST FARGO, N.D. (Feb. 18, 2014) – Grouser Products launched a new AG 240 row crop blade that is an upgrade to its AG 220 model. The blade features a new mounting system that provides higher ground clearance and a single-lever attachment system. The AG 240 blade allows users to attach and detach blades more quickly and with less hassle. It features a new parallel lift system that keeps the blade closer to the tractor for more precise control of material and an optional weight carrier bracket that allows users to quickly attach and detach weight packages.
The 54-inch-tall AG 240 blade is available in 12- to 16-foot widths and is compatible with a wide range of tractor brands. It can be quickly and easily mounted to the frames of 100- to 370-horsepower row crop tractors with a simple, bolt-on undercarriage design that saves time during initial installation. The AG 240 undercarriage and lift frame are installed high underneath the tractor to provide tremendous ground clearance.
The single-lever quick attach system is mounted at the front of the tractor, which allows one operator to quickly and efficiently align the tractor to the blade, drive forward and engage the lever to lock it into place. To detach the blade, the operator simply unhooks the hydraulic hoses, pulls the lever behind the blade and backs away. Grouser also redesigned the hydraulic hose

connections at the front of the unit into one easy-access configuration that is mounted where the operator can quickly connect or disconnect the hoses.
Once the blade is attached, the industry-leading blade travel allows the operator to push tremendous amounts of material into steep piles, then easily lift the blade high enough to avoid back dragging that would otherwise remove material that was just added to the pile.
In addition, the new AG 240 blade features Grouser’s exclusive parallel lift system that has top and bottom connection points to keep the blade parallel to the front of the tractor, even when it is lifted as high as possible. This reduces weight transfer and keeps the blade closer to the tractor for better control. The lift system also maintains the ideal angle for dozing, which gives the operator more precise control.
Grouser offers optional end plates for all of its AG 240 blades. The plates, which are designed for simple bolt-on installation, increase carrying capacity without adding additional width and allow operators to push even more material in a single pass.
Standard features of all AG Series blades include reversible, double-bevel cutting edges and customized nameplates. Double-bevel cutting edges are the industry standard for blades. Grouser edges are made of high-alloy, heat-treated boron steel, which provides excellent wear in high-abrasion applications. This, along with the ability to reverse the edge, allows for many hours
of trouble-free dozing. To personalize its blades, the company provides customized nameplates for dealers or end users that mount directly to the blade.
Grouser’s commitment to dealer service extends to the assembly of the product. Because the company does the majority of the pre-assembly work at its factory in West Fargo, N.D., on-site assembly and installation is faster and easier.
Grouser continues to offer its AG 220 row crop blades for non-production tractors.
