Meeting Discussion Summary
Plans System: New Project Engineer for FSEC: Jim Dunlop, 321-704-1097,
Update on Electrical and Structural System: Jim walked team through the calculation worksheets that have been developed for the electrical and structural plans system covering contractor inputs, applicable standards and codes, and verification of inputs. Group consensus: big improvement with some details yet to be addressed.
Master Design Manual: discussed requirements and legality of the Master Design Manual. Need to seek legal advice and declaratory statements from applicable boards.
Training System: training is being developed through definitions and explanations that are included in the steps the contractor will be taking to create plans. Once the system is fully developed a training video will be created and posted.
Path Forward/Action Items:
· FSEC to continue developing calculation worksheets and integrating them into the drawing generation system, (Ongoing, Jim, Keith and Charlie).
· FSEC and Miami Dade to discuss structural details of system (Jim and Boris and Lundy by March 11th).
· FSEC to send out calculation worksheets to team for review and comment (Jim by March 14th).
· FSEC to pursue Master Design Manual declaratory statements (Colleen and Jim by April 1st).
