This annual update has been designed so that a on-page program review update is provided by each department on an annual basis, in conjunction with the Departmental Program Review process.

The program outcome(s) that were identified by department chairs as being those under study for 2006-07 and 2007-08. For the outcome that was under study in 06-07, specific data should by now have been collected, studied and perhaps acted upon. Please note the following schedule:

·  Average Class Size increase 4.7% from fall 2006 (17.1 ACS) to fall 2007 (17.9 ACS)

·  Full Time Equivalent increase 41.2% from fall 2006 (174.3 FTE) to fall 2007 (246.1 FTE)

·  Increase of 63 FTE’s from Principles of Accounting coincides with receiving TAG (Transfer Assurance Guide) status from state

Program outcome(s)--data collected for 06-07

·  Collected data from ACC235 Audit Project (PO# 1)

·  Collected data from ACC201 Pretest and compared to test covering financial statements in ACC201 (PO# 6)

How have you analyzed the data collected? What did you find? Describe the results obtained.

·  Data from ACC235 (CPA simulation project) was inconclusive in determining communication in the business setting. Case analysis project requiring additional writing and data analysis skills has been implemented this year.

·  Data from ACC201 financial statement pretest revealed students entering ACC201 did not have sufficient understanding the relationship between the different statements. Additional financial statement labs have been incorporated into ACC125 a prerequisite to the ACC201 class.

·  Collect data from ACC212 Mathematical skills - Apply mathematical skills to formulate and solve problems.

·  Collected data from ACC125 Personal computer operations - Demonstrate proficiency in personal computer operations and applications.
