Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Union Center Church of the Brethren for Wilbur Anglemyer, 90, Nappanee Route 1, who died Sunday, June 27, at Greencroft Nursing Center, Goshen, where he had been a patient since August, 1981. He had been in failing health 2 ½ years.
Born June 13, 1892 in Union Township, he was the son of Franklin and Isophene (Hoover) Anglemyer. He married Ethel Slabaugh June 21, 1913. She died Feb. 16, 1962.
He is survived by four sons, Keith of Nappanee, Wilbur Jr., of Goshen, Everett of Wakarusa and Warren of Long Lake, Mich.; two daughters, Mrs. Herman (Charlotte) Hess of Foraker and Mrs. Keith (Shirley) Stouder of Kendallville; 20 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren. A son, Leon (Dave), died June 10, 1964.
A farmer in Union Township, he was also a long-time employee of J. A. Miller & Son of Wakarusa as parts manager. He was a member of Union Center Church of the Brethren to which memorial contributions may be made.
Friends may call at the Lienhart Funeral Home in Wakarusa all day today (Wednesday) and Wednesday evening and until the hour of services Thursday. The Rev. George Snyder, pastor of Union Center Church, will officiate with burial to be made in the church cemetery.
